Xbmc copy large file

Older modchips will need to be flashed from the Xbox- Apps like XFlash and the EvoX dash both have the options to do this you will need to ftp the edited bios over to their default bios directories.

Newer mod-chip owners may be able to flash their bios externally via their pc using their Modchip Manufacturer's software and either a parallel or USB cable to connect to their mod-chip. Download here: Xbe Shortcut Maker v1. Creates shortcut xbes for Xbox titles keeping your current method of organization intact so you can keep your hard drive roots as uncluttered as possible, as well as add items to dash menus without moving or creating duplicate installs.

Simply point the target path to the xbe you wish to launch and the output xbe will be a 60kb shortcut that will simply launch the given title. It will now save a shortcut XBE, 60kB in size. Don't forget to backup any files on C: if you plan to overwrite them! Below, are the bios boot sequences for the most widely used modded bioses that people use to run Xbox Backups and Home-brew Applications. Each bios will have one or more.

The numbers by the side of the different. For example for x2 , on startup, the bios will look to launch evoxdash. If it is there then the. If there is no evoxdash. So once you've found out which bios you have your current dash should be able to tell you this information , use the chart to work out what you should rename XBMC's default. Did the typical soft mod through Mechassault and installed the Unleashx dashboard.

Then I copied the file contents from the second XBMC folder the one that wasn't running, of course to the dashboard folder and boom success. I believe it works because it appears that all typical xbox apps are named 'default. Reboot the box and delete any extra copies of XBMC and you're done. I was told to post the Wireshark logs here, which is impossible due to file size and type limitations.

Please let me know how I can get them to you if they would be useful. Where The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:. I wanted to add that it works with the same version on Windows 7 with same server based on what DeJuanNOnley wrote in our forum ;. Sorry, something went wrong.

So this looks like the server returning an error back to libnfs, meaning there would be something wrong with the request we sent to the server. Can you send a trimmed down wireshark log so I can see exactly what is sent to the server? I don't know how familiar you are with wireshark, so I will provide some pointers on how you can identify the area of the area we are interested in as well as how to cut out and save a subset of the trace.

First, we nee to find the packets where the server returns this error. You should be able to find this by applying this filter to the trace just type it in in the filter box and click apply. Which will list all NFS errors. Make a note of the packet number for that packet. And change the display filter to instead be something like. This then will show us the packets leading up to the error as well as the next packets after the error.

This will save a new file containing onlty the packets you selected in the display filter above, and this should be a reasonably small capture file, only containing packets, which you should be able to post. I got the info you requested. Not sure exactly what is causing this, but I have learned that certain options specifically caching in XBMC are causing the error to occur far more often.

So it may or may not be a libnfs issue. The problem is packet where we issue a read for offset 0xffffffff9c which results in invalid. This looks like a sign conversion error, like expanding a signed int32 to a int64 while the offset should always be unsigned. I think these functions should be uint64 call the way from these entry points to what goes on the wire, but I need to double check.

At this stage, it looks like there is a integer expansion bug, either in xbmc or in libnfs. I will check libnfs more thoroughly tonight. One is the keep alive which we could remove at some point i guess - not sure why i left that code in though and in the generic read method.

Yeah take your time : - appreciate your quick response everytime I screw something up ;. Then the int32 value 0x9c would be expanded to become the int64 value 0xffffffff9c that we see on the wire. The actual value we are trying to read from seems related to the file size. The file size is 0xc Which mean that if we are treating the file size as a uint32 and then try to read the very last byte of the file it would expand to the value we see on the wire.

Nothing new here Ask Question. Asked 9 years, 2 months ago. Active 8 years, 3 months ago. Viewed times. However, this isn't so easy with Ubuntu. I have the latest version, installed today Could someone please spell out the command process to make this happen?

Improve this question. But that then begs the question why was it not also applied to Move and Delete too? Also why does Move include a progress bar which doesn't actually work? That might be a skin issue Xbox-Classic as I didn't think to check that with other skins.

I will do that tomorrow. What a pain these 'helpful' changes can be. I don't know about other users but I want to see my stuff is actually copying or at least a visible indication the copying process is proceeding. Ideally, in the case of a failure, immediate access to the event log can also be very useful, which is something you do also get with the UnleashX file manager.

In fact I could do without the bar as that has never been a reliable indicator as the equivalent UnleashX one. I'm still using a late XBMC v9. It is the Status box flicking on and off all the time when a new file starts to copy Surely an option for a permanently visible Status box displaying copying details that doesn't affect the functioning of other GUI elements could be provided?

I'd be happy to take a copy speed drop. UnleashX will not copy text files even when they're on the same drive without them having an appropriate text file extension eg.

They're not the only culprits either, I've just spent ten minutes editing eight such files in an emulator folder that failed to copy multiple times because of text files hidden within sub-folders. It doesn't have the same problem parser? Last edited by Coldly-Indifferent on Wed Apr 27, pm, edited 1 time in total.

When you use the Delete option the Status remains on screen and, I think, the same is true for Move. That suggests there are dozens of designers, and who knows how many actual users, of such GUI's who don't think it is a good idea.
