I am sure there is a way to access the menu without an RCU but at the moment my mind is blank on the matter. However, I could be mistaken about this. If there is it would be many years since I had to do so. Thank you but this Toppy Model is not networked. I believe it will be fine when I get new RCU.

No matter what firmware I upload, it works for a day or two, then reverts to "no service or scrambled" for minutes before loading. I found that after installing that firmware, my unit initially worked well, then started to freeze on start up "no service or scrambled" dialogue box, for minutes, then loads again on subsequent start-ups.
Frustrated with the constant slow start-up, I updated downdated, lol the firmware with the version, now our TFHDPlus is working correctly again.
It seems that no matter which firmware I upload or my unit reverts to the slow start-up. Have been following IanL-S's instructions to the letter, he helped me fix the unit when it wouldn't start up at all a few weeks back, thanks Ian!! I couldn't find it in the set up menu. BD-V Playability is only a fix for some discs, nothing else. I swear it said 1. I've just checked it again after reading your last post and it now says 1. I'll get me coat. How do you for the check the fw version?
