Its smog check factor is what I usually need. Where I live in has required an emission test for vehicle, so it has to get that information to ensure there is no problems which may cause emission problems and if so I would be fined. For the Audi, I need to change the brakes and need to release the electronic parking brake to do so. For the BMW, my radio stopped working after I changed the battery.
This needs to be reset as there is a reading even when the car is stationery and on level ground. As you can see from another attached photo, the existing reading is I would like to be able to apply the accelerator while holding the brake without the car holding back.
How can I change this feature in my vw golf comfortline? Sorry not sure how possible. I just figured for less than a hundred bucks I would give it a try. To get the "Old Tiptronic strategy" where it won't downshift unless you come to a complete stop, I believe you have to change the coding in the following manner:.
Look at the fourth digit in the coding Cylinders : 0 or 1 - "New-style Tiptronic" 2 - "Old-style Tiptronic". PS: As always, you play with stuff like this at your own risk. The "old" strategy is documented by VW only for "testing" and they explictly say that the car should be recoded the way it was before giving it back to the customer.
