Tick the box, click Next. On my machine, running Windows Mobile 5 it found: Image version: 1. The completion screen is displayed on the host PC. If that all sounds fine click on Next. Step 6: Update in progress The dialog window is now replaced with a non-closable progress bar window. First impressions My first impressions of Windows Mobile 6 WM6 are that it appears to be running a little faster and is more responsive and stable than WM5.

Published by. Thanks, Rich. Many thanks Alistair. I think they are very reasonably priced and do add some much needed functionality to the phone. Regards Alistair. Thank You! Thanks for saving me hours of hassle. Where the Atom wins points is in the connectivity stakes. With support for Bluetooth 1. The biggest flaw of the Mini was the lack of Wi-Fi support, but the Atom supports this natively which is a welcome and useful addition. The presence of Bluetooth allows you to use the unit in conjunction with wireless hands-free kits.

Operating as a phone, we had no real complaints about the call quality though at times we did detect a slight echo. For the security conscious, you can set a PIN which locks the device. Running on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5. As a PDA, the Atom will not leave users wanting. O2 has also included proprietary software to organise your media and conduct self diagnostics. This smart laptop was enjoyable to use and great to work on — creating content was super simple. As the Maserati or BMW of laptops, it would fit perfectly in the hands of a professional needing firepower under the hood, sophistication and class on the surface, and gaming prowess sports mode if you will in between. Also, is it me or is the reception really poor? Each time it loses reception, it takes ages to come back - is there a way to resolve this?

Would greatly appreciate any input. There is no doubt that there are great improvement with the new ROM. But there are still a few issue I am worrying about. Also, after nearly 2 weeks of use, my ATOM restarted a few time continously today even if i did a soft reset. So what I did to stop it restarting by taking the battery out and plug it back in again and turned off the wireless connection, and the ATOM is back again. I am not sure what is happening with it at the moment. I am not sure and it's still remain to be seen.

I just think maybe when the memory is running low due to too many program running, the ATOM might then act abit weird. It reset to 9th of May, All in all the new ROM does make it better but I still think there are some issue with the ATOM or maybe we dont really fully understand how to use it yet.

Any issue, pls post it so we can understand it more. I have just installed the unofficial firmware update.

Now the internal storage memeory is combined with the memory card storage. The new wireless manager is pretty nice. Since the last firmware update I was stuck with the defualt Windows Mobile 5.

Tks to jug for the info of the newest ROM.
