ColorxConfused Your game isn't up to date: the current patch level is 1. Please open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Update. I cleared Origin's cache and the update was then made available which I went through but now it isn't recognizing the update has been completed.
Anytime I try to open the game, it says an update is required, starts going through the process, finishes in two seconds and then still says I need an update. I also saw it verifying a few things in other packs as well so maybe something was left over from the initial cache clear. Thank you so much!
